Central Texas Engagement Photographer - Shane and Katy

In April we got a call from my (Melaina's) brother, Shane, asking for our help. He wanted to photograph the exact moment he proposed to his girlfriend, Katy. We worked out a ruse by telling Katy we were meeting them in San Marcos to shoot pictures for them to give as gifts to their mothers on Mother's Day.

Jason came up with a great plan to get Shane and Katy into position for both of us to get the shots while Shane proposed, but also give them a little space to be romantic. :) Jason had Shane and Katy start off far from us and walk toward him as he took pictures. Once they did it the first time, Jason was like, "That was great. Let's do it one more time to make sure we get some variety of shots." This was Shane's cue to walk back with Katy and propose to her.

After celebrating (and giving the love birds some space), the Mother's Day shoot became an engagement photo shoot!

This past weekend, Jason and i had the honor of standing up with Shane and Katy as they became husband and wife. It was so neat to be there for the proposal and then again for the vows.

Congratulations Shane and Katy!
